20 years ago, I bikepacked the United States on a six months long adventure.
Now I am in my fourties, rediscovering slow travel again – many things have changed since then, but what’s the same is my passion for spending time on the bike and sharing those experiences with others. In 2024, I am slowly starting to exploring the world’s bikepaths again. The Empire State Trail was going to be the first step, followed by three weeks exploring western Europe in 2025 and getting into ultra-distance bike racing in 2026.

In July, Tara and I will be participating in our first self-supported ultracycling event – the Three Peaks Bike Race from Vienna in Austria to Barcelona in Spain. Twelve days of endurance riding through the Alps and Pyrenees.
